This Privacy Policy describes how NK Tech Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with Gratitude Journal with Prompts ("the App"). The short version: your journal entries and mood data always stay on your device \u2014 we never see them. Free users see ads served by Google AdMob; Premium subscribers don't see any ads at all. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Everything you write — journal entries, mood check-ins, sleep records, and your onboarding answers — is stored only on your own device, using your phone's local storage. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has any access to this content.
If you subscribe to Premium, your purchase is processed by Google Play, and subscription status is managed via RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles billing directly.
If you use the free version of the app, we show ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers, general location (such as country or region), and ad interaction data (like impressions and clicks) in order to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly, and is entirely separate from your journal content, which never leaves your device. If you subscribe to Premium, ads are turned off completely and none of this data collection applies to you.
Beyond what AdMob collects for free users as described above, we do not collect additional analytics, device identifiers, or usage data ourselves. If this changes in a future update, this policy and the app's Play Store Data Safety section will be updated to disclose it before it happens.
We use the information described above to:
• Provide the journaling, mood-tracking, and sleep-tracking features of the app
• Process and manage your subscription, if you choose to purchase one
• Show ads to free users, and remove ads entirely for Premium subscribers
• Respond to support requests you send us directly
• Comply with legal obligations
Free users see interstitial ads served by Google AdMob at certain points in the app (for example, after saving a mood check-in or journal entry). AdMob may use device identifiers to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your interests, unless you've opted out. You can manage or reset your device's advertising identifier at any time in your device's own privacy settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads at all — upgrading removes this entirely.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app will show you a consent form (managed through Google's User Messaging Platform) before showing personalized ads, in line with GDPR requirements. If you are located in a U.S. state with applicable privacy law (such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may be shown a similar consent flow covering your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of information for targeted advertising. In regions where no such consent is currently required (including India), no form is shown, but you can still review your choices at any time.
You can revisit your ad privacy choices at any time from Profile → Ad Privacy Options within the app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your journal entries, mood logs, or sleep data with anyone — they never leave your device. The only third parties involved in this app are:
• Google Play, which processes subscription payments
• RevenueCat, which manages subscription status/entitlements on our behalf
• Google AdMob, which serves ads to free users only, as described in Section 3
None of these services receive your journal content.
Your journal entries, mood check-ins, sleep records, and settings are stored using on-device local storage (Android SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the app's “Export my data” feature, which opens your device's own share sheet under your control. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data, since no copy exists anywhere else.
This app is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region). Because all journal content stays on-device and we operate no backend, we have no ability to collect such information ourselves. Ads served through AdMob are configured in line with Google's policies for general audiences. If you believe a child has used this app in a way that concerns you, please contact us.
Because your journal data is stored only on your device, you already have direct control over it. You have the right to:
• View, export, or permanently delete all your data at any time from Profile → Your Data
• Turn off ads entirely by subscribing to Premium
• Manage your ad privacy choices from Profile → Ad Privacy Options
• Cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play
• Contact us with privacy questions or concerns
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights afforded to you under GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. If you are a California resident or otherwise covered by U.S. state privacy law, you additionally have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising — available via Ad Privacy Options in the app.
Gratitude Journal with Prompts does not require an account. All of your journal entries, mood logs, and sleep records live only on your device, and you can delete them yourself at any time from Profile → "Reset App" within the app — this deletes everything immediately and permanently.
For anything that doesn't live on your device — your subscription/purchase record with Google Play and RevenueCat, or advertising data held by Google AdMob — you can request its deletion by emailing support@nktechsolutions.in with the subject "Data Deletion Request," or via the contact form linked below. Advertising data collected by Google is also governed by Google's own privacy policy and deletion tools.
What is deleted: your subscription/entitlement record held by RevenueCat.
What may be retained: Google Play may retain transaction records for a limited period as required by their own billing and tax/legal obligations, independent of our systems.
We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Premium subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play account settings. Subscribing also removes all ads from the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature that changes what data the app touches. We will update the “Last Updated” date above when that happens. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
